The Mission of the Minnesota Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) is to empower Minnesotans with disabilities to achieve their goals for employment, independent living, and community integration. This is accomplished through three programs:
VR: Vocational Rehabilitation Program
IL: Independent Living Program, and
EE: Extended Employment
Ages Served:
VR and EE: vocational age
IL: all ages
Types of disabilities served:
VR: all except visual impairments
EE and IL: all disabilities
Area of Minnesota served:
Statewide
Eligibility criteria:
VR and EE: a physical or mental impairment that impedes employment.
IL: a disability and a desire to become more independent.
Maximum amount individual can receive:
VR and IL: Check with plan
EE: Based on needs
