The Aitkin Public Library has a Merlin Enhanced Vision System for use by patrons and visitors to the library. It is a full-color, auto-focus, video magnifier system designed to enhance the lifestyle of the visually impaired. It enables individuals with low vision to read, write, view photos, enjoy crafts, hobbies and more in color, black and white or enhanced high-contrast postitive or negative viewing modes. It magnifies up to 14 times and uses 4 different modes of enhancement.
