Vocational Rehabilitation Services
Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED)
Vocational Rehabilitation Services consists of three distinct programs, all working together to assist Minnesotans with significant disabilities to secure and retain competitive, integrated employment, live independently in their communities, and reduce their dependence on government supports. The three programs are Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), Extended Employment (EE), and Independent Living (IL).
VR: All except visual impairments. EE and IL: all disabilities.
VR and EE: A physical, cognitive, or mental impairment that causes a functional limitation to employment. IL: A disability and a desire to become more independent.
