Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division (DHHSD)

Organization Name: Department of Human Services
Description: DHHSD oversees 4 major programs: The DHHS regional offices, which provide direct client assistance to Minnesotans who are deaf, deafblind, hard of hearing and late deafened, training, consultation to human service providers and technology labs and demonstrations; the Telephone Equipment Distribution Program (TED), which distribute no cost long term telecommunication devices to individuals who meet the criteria; Mental Health Services, with counselors who provide counseling and case coordination, and community-based grants.
